Mid-Management Training Programme


This mid-management training programme was organised by the Institute of Management and Leadership Development (IMLD) for Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Malaysia) from 18 March 2015 to 9 April 2015. The training held at ICBC office in Malaysia, was attended by 10 staffs from various departments. The training programme was specially designed to equip the middle level executives with essential management skills to take up leadership roles at ICBC.

A group of experienced trainers were assigned for the training to fulfil the training goals to inspire and motivate mid-level executives to achieve greater success. The training programme provided an overview and discussed the key issues in management and leadership development. Topics covered included Creating a Leader’s Self-Concept and Believe; Dynamics of a Great Leader; Change Management; Corporate Strategic Management; Talent Management; Coaching Communication and Executive Development.

The programme discussed practical and key techniques to achieve leadership success. Participants learned processes that lead to a new way of communicating, thinking and behaving which allow them to take their role, career and life in the direction that they desire and deserve. The learning process was interactive. Participants were engaged in group works, role play, case studies, discussions and experiences sharing.

An assessment was given to the participants in each session to test the knowledge learned. Trainers evaluated the performance of each participant and suggested for improvements particularly in the area of management and leadership.
